About Sophie Fortier
Sophie is a French Canadian and the Founder of Blue Tortoise. She is well known and respected for her extensive training as an acupuncturist and acupressure expert. Her holistic health and alternative medicine treatments are used for anxiety, depression, infertility, pain and women’s health.
Sophie’s gentle technique provides you with a decadently relaxing experience. She provides the appropriate modality depending on what you discuss beforehand. Your treatment may be a single one or a combination of acupuncture, acupressure and reflexology. She is with you each step of the way, willing to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. She strives to ensure all patients that come to her are living their most balanced and healthy life.
Sophie received her training from Master Mitsunori Seino in her Japanese style of acupuncture. As a result of her desire to stay knowledgeable and informed, Sophie constantly takes classes to improve her skill set and quench her thirst for knowledge.
What Is The Blue Tortoise?
The name of the acupuncture clinic has a nod to Sophie’s French heritage. The tortoise translates as a turtle in English, representing a calm and relaxed sea creature. The blue colour represents peacefulness.

About Kristina Aizenberg
Kristina studied social work and psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University before earning her acupuncture degree with honors from Georgian College in 2021. She also studied herbalism at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Specializing in reproductive health, Kristina treats a range of conditions from pain to mood disorders, and offers pregnancy and postpartum care. She also provides facial rejuvenation treatments like cosmetic acupuncture and gua-sha, targeting skincare issues while improving overall health. She is enthusiastic about offering natural treatments for children, incorporating techniques such as medicinal massage (tui-na) and personalized dietary guidance.
